Emergency Response – Complex & Standard Care
Our on-call nurses and senior carers respond to urgent calls within 60 minutes. Whether it is a ventilator alarm, tracheostomy issue, seizure activity, a fall, or any sudden deterioration, a clinician with complex-care training will attend, stabilise the situation, and coordinate ambulance or hospital transfer if required.
Medication Prompts, Monitoring & Clinical Interventions
Missed doses of anti-epileptics, insulin, or syringe-driver medications can be life-threatening. We provide unscheduled checks, verify correct dosing for complex regimens (e.g. TPN, IV antibiotics), and liaise directly with prescribers or the on-call pharmacist if anomalies arise.
Reassurance Calls & Welfare Checks
For clients on high-dependency packages, we schedule evening / weekend welfare calls and can dispatch a nurse or rapid-response team for a face-to-face check if contact is not confirmed within the agreed window.
Safeguarding & Crisis Escalation
All out-of-hours staff hold Level 3 Adult & Child Safeguarding and advanced BLS. Where escalation is needed, we coordinate immediately with the client’s GP, community nursing team, emergency services, or social-services duty desk.
Seamless Handover
Every after-hours interaction—vital-sign readings, ventilator checks, MAR updates—is logged in our digital care system and handed over to the day team before 08:00, ensuring clinical continuity and full CQC compliance.
